Creating Flexible Office Space with the MG500 Flush Glazed Sliding Folding Acoustic Partition

ModernGlide have recently completed installation of our MG500 Flush Glazed Sliding Folding Partitions as part of a modern office fit-out. The MG500 system features hinged sliding folding glazed wall partitions that enhance workspace flexibility and employee comfort.

The project involved creating a series of flexible meeting and collaboration spaces within an open-plan office environment. The client required a solution that could be quickly reconfigured to accommodate different group sizes and activities, while maintaining the light and airy feel of the open-plan space.

The MG500 flush glazed sliding folding partition was the ideal solution. The hinged panels fold and stack neatly to one side of the opening, leaving a completely clear opening when not in use. When closed, the flush-glazed panels provide acoustic separation while maintaining visual connectivity between spaces.

The acoustic performance of the MG500 — Rw up to 42 dB — is sufficient for most office applications, providing meaningful separation between adjacent spaces without the heavy construction of a solid partition. The system uses acoustic seals at the head, foot, and panel edges to achieve this performance.

From a design perspective, the flush-glazed appearance of the MG500 is one of its most appealing features. There are no visible frames or rails on the face of the glass panels, creating a clean, minimal aesthetic that complements modern office interiors. The panels are available with clear, frosted, or tinted glass to suit different privacy requirements.

The installation was completed within the client's tight programme, with our team working around the ongoing office fit-out to minimise disruption. The system was commissioned and handed over on schedule, and the client was delighted with the result.
